Disney has officially finalized the cast for the live-action adaptation of the classic animated film "Tangled." Twenty-one-year-old Teagan Croft and twenty-four-year-old Milo Manheim have been selected to portray the lead roles, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively. Previously, there were rumors that BLACKPINK member Lisa would be taking on the role of the female lead, but the recent confirmation of the casting list has sparked intense discussion among fans.

Originally released in 2010, "Tangled" tells the story of a princess with magical long hair who has been imprisoned in a tower since childhood. Her fate takes a dramatic turn when she encounters a charming bandit named Flynn Rider. The animated film was a major global success, grossing over $591 million at the worldwide box office.
Teagan Croft is a popular actress best known for her role as Rachel Roth, also known as "Raven," in the DC series "Titans," a performance that has made her deeply beloved by fans. She also headlined the Netflix film "True Spirit," in which she played Jessica Watson, the legendary Australian teenager who challenged herself to sail solo around the world at the age of 16.
Leading man Milo Manheim is a familiar face to Disney audiences, having accumulated high popularity through the "Zombies" series. He showcased his versatile entertainment talents by finishing as the runner-up in Season 27 of "Dancing with the Stars." Additionally, he is a second-generation star, being the son of Camryn Manheim, a winner of both Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.
The live-action "Tangled" was first reported to be in early development in December 2024. With the casting now settled, it becomes Disney's latest live-action remake of a classic animation. In recent years, Disney has released numerous live-action adaptations, including "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "Mulan," "Dumbo," "The Little Mermaid," "Snow White," and "Lilo & Stitch." Notably, "Lilo & Stitch" became the first film of 2025 to surpass $1 billion at the global box office. Furthermore, the live-action "Moana" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 10.
