Why the Upgrade?
The Gen2 platform delivers enhanced electronics and software, improving speed, stability, and functionality—while preserving the same proven mechanical design and sensors.
What Stays the Same
- Footprint and mounting dimensions
- Valve configurations and operation
- Pressure range availability
- Pneumatic accessories, inputs, and headers
- Electronic connections, cabling, and power requirements
- Communications, commands, and data output

What’s New
- New Analog-to-Digital converters to support one ADC per channel (sensor), which means no more multiplexing and fully synchronous data collection.
- Updated webserver with better GUI, firmware and file management, and data collection.
- Simple binary packet for less data overhead.
- Improved scan rates (from 850Hz to 1250Hz).
- No socket restrictions which allows for no server selections.
- Improved functionality and boot time.
- Easier firmware updates and uses the same firmware as the MPS4216 and MPS4232 modules.
Compatibility
Gen2 modules are backward compatible with Gen1 modules. Mixed systems are no problem—Gen2 operates alongside Gen1 without disruption.
Availability
Starting in 2026, all manufactured MPS4264 units will be Gen2 and clearly labeled. Gen1 modules are discontinued. You can find related information on our Legacy Product Information page — Click Here
Note that MPS4216 and MPS4232 modules will not have Gen labeling.
